These trips are designed on an average budget of 3 to 4 stars. In our twenties, we traveled on a shoe string. Now, we prefer to enjoy life also on holiday.
The writer and owner of this site, Mirka Savolainen, is a content creator, travel blogger, investor and an education manager. Mirka is a Finnish lady married with two kids and two adult stepsons. Mirka started finally writing the blog in 2025. She is also writing books about various topics and the first e-book is on sale on Amazon Kindle. The family lives in Finland in a small town called Iisalmi. The town is famous for companies like Genelec (speakers) and Olvi (a brewery). It is a town with all four seasons and sense of community. We travel together as a family and sometimes I travel solo or with one of the kids. If we are lucky, sometimes just the adults get some quality time. We attend a rock concert or have a weekend getaway. We love to travel with the kids. I want to encourage all the parents to explore the world with their children, because they are the best company. They know how to read metro maps and plan the activities together. Also when traveling with kids, you need to take it easier with the itinerary to keep the spirits up. You end up having a more chilled holiday.
Our goal in life is not only to work but also to enjoy life and experience other cultures. A crucial thing about traveling is to start saving money now and planning for the trips. We should not always wait for a better time or company. If you want to make your travel dreams come true, you should make them now!
